Irina Zimina

Visual artist&mixed-media artist
Irina Zimina's artistic practice centers on the exploration of self-awareness and eros, with a focus on identity, emotional connection, and the experience of personal worth. Through the lens of eros, she investigates how shame shapes perception — both of the self and of others — and how embracing one’s desires and vulnerabilities can become a pathway to liberation.

Her work operates at the intersection of personal experience, psychoanalysis, and healing practices. She reflects on the boundaries of the self, the loss and rupture of relationships, particularly in the context of migration. In her visual narratives, the figure of the artist becomes a prototype for examining pain, memory, and inner transformation.

Working across diverse media — including drawing, painting, sculpture, and 3D modeling — Zimina creates intimate, contemplative spaces that invite viewers into shared reflection. Sincerity is at the core of her approach, making art a form of direct, honest communication. Her works aim to build a bridge between her inner world and that of the viewer, transforming personal experience into a universal emotional dialogue.
