Na Garni Tsveta Duo
Both abstract artists, Tatyana Postolovskaya and Andrey Lavrentyev, who work in a creative tandem, are united by a unique and rare ambition in today’s art world — the complete transformation of the viewer’s emotional state. Each of their works is a cohesive and vivid aesthetic statement — a positively charged artifact that opens the door to a more optimistic and elevated perception of the world.
The style developed by the artists, based on a complex and finely crafted technique of their own invention, expands the boundaries of abstraction and brings a bold new voice to this field of contemporary art. The multiplicity of colorful layers — requiring the skill and perseverance of the old masters — is combined here with a contemporary relevance that resists aging and remains ever fresh.
A key role is also played by the artists’ unconventional and eclectic approach to color: a deliberate contrast between warm and cool tones, and the use of exceptionally bright and pure hues. Despite a shared aesthetic and stylistic foundation, the works of Andrey Lavrentyev and Tatyana Postolovskaya also carry distinctive features that highlight the individuality of each artist’s visual language.
In contrast to mass production and repetition, it is uniqueness and exclusivity that have become the driving inspiration behind the key principles and philosophy of their artistic alliance “NaGraniTsveta” (“On the Edge of Color”).
In Europe, this duo is represented by A2 Galerie in collaboration with Teak House Gallery.
