Chronos | Laznes Binch
01 April – 30 May 2022
Solo presentation at A2 Galerie

Chronos is an immersive encounter with the flow of time and memory shaped by digital perception. The works of Laznes Binch (Ilya Fomin) emerge from a visual language rooted in fragmentation, layering, and abstraction — a practice that transforms digital matter into emotional landscape.

Raised in the environment of classical painting, Laznes turned to digital tools as a deliberate act of divergence. Working with collage, glitch, and deconstructed media, he composes dense visual fields built from fractured timelines, textures, and affective traces. The images he creates are not snapshots — they are states, signals, echoes.

Memory becomes a living process in his work: shifting, participatory, charged with personal and collective resonance. Each piece operates like a suspended fragment of perception — color, tension, interference — existing somewhere between screen and surface, sensation and structure.

In Chronos, eight large-scale digital compositions unfold as temporal artifacts. Printed in high resolution and configured for spatial experience, they function as open-ended environments, where interpretation remains fluid and perception is allowed to oscillate.

As the artist writes:
"Each image is dated. It carries the imprint of time but refuses to close. It remains a fragment — transmitted, reinterpreted, felt."
